About the Role
The Clinical Consultant provides clinical and application support for Baxter's vital sign and cardiology product line in hospital or clinic settings. This role ensures educational programs meet corporate and customer goals and acts as a liaison between Baxter protocol and customers.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the sales team during the sales cycle, participating in presales activities and clinical evaluations.
- Provide clinical assistance and customer training on the intended use of vital sign and cardiology product lines, with post-training follow-up.
- Offer account management support by identifying and resolving customer complaints or issues as a liaison between the sales team and the customer.
- Identify sales force training needs and collaborate with marketing teams to develop and deliver training plans.
- Gather customer suggestions for product enhancements and collaborate with management on recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of training and customer communication, updating Salesforce.com and clinical manager.
- Participate in a clinical on-call program for customer support on a rotational basis.
- Travel up to 80% to hospital and clinical settings, including overnights.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years in critical care, emergency department, post-anesthesia, telemetry unit, or related health practice.
- Experience as an educator in training medical and non-medical personnel.
- Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia, hemodynamic, pulmonary artery, and cardiac output monitoring.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Experience as an educator or public speaker.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to build relationships, work independently, and be self-motivated.
