About the Role

AutoCamp is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented General Maintenance Laborer to join our team. AutoCamp is a lifestyle hotel brand that is changing the way people experience the great outdoors. Responsibilities

  • Respond to property maintenance requests and perform basic repairs.
  • Maintain the property's aesthetic appeal and attention to detail.
  • Remove out-of-place matter, debris, and pet droppings to ensure the property is neat and tidy.
  • Transfer out-of-place matter and trash to the dumpster or storage area, and maintain clean storage areas.
  • Assist with unloading work and delivery trucks.
  • Set up and break down meeting/event spaces.
  • Assist with site setup and management of plants and plant materials.
  • Assist with snow removal upkeep and clearing.
  • Complete assigned tasks and routine services as requested.
  • Understand and practice safety in all work tasks and duties in adherence to Autocamp's standards, as well as relevant Federal, State, and Local codes.
  • Ensure the property is operated in a safe and effective manner by all team members and contractors.
  • Understand and carry out safe work practices in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Practice safe chemical handling as prescribed in Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Know how to carry out hotel emergency procedures.
  • Attend monthly Department and Emergency Response Training.
  • Keep Front Desk and Housekeeping informed of accommodations being worked on and when work is complete.
  • Provide high-quality service and uncompromising hospitality towards all customers and Associates.
  • Act and communicate in a friendly and accommodating manner with Guests, Clients, Associates, and Management.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by Management.

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of basic handyman skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment; and able to operate such equipment.
  • Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Ability to arrive for assigned shifts on time.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in using a diverse set of tools, appliances, and equipment.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally, and handle difficult situations and people with diplomacy.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent and attentive customer service.
  • Prior experience in building or hotel maintenance.
  • Be well groomed and have a keen sense of style and an appreciation for good design.
  • Practice thoroughness and an attention to detail.
