About the Role

The Chief Accountant contributes to the Center's mission by completing accounting reconciliation and third-party reporting accurately and on time. This role involves organizing financial data for compliance with agency regulations and potentially monitoring grant expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering the Center’s financial and statistical information.
  • Organizing information for reporting in compliance with third-party agency regulations.
  • Monitoring grant expenses monthly to ensure allowability and adherence to budget.
  • Working with program staff to develop budgets for state agency funding submissions.
  • Supporting the contract process, including vendor analysis, spend analysis, bid preparation/tabulation, and contract preparation for legal review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Accounting, Third Party Reporting, or a related field.
  • Experience with governmental or grant-related accounting is a plus.
