About the Role
Our administration staff play a key role in supporting our frontline staff by giving them the resources and tools they need to be successful. Whether Finance, HR, IT, or Quality Assurance is your game, you’ll be supporting our agency to be able to provide the best programs and services possible. Responsibilities
- Provide mentoring and teaching services to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve personal outcomes and growth.
- Teach daily living skills such as money handling, socialization, cooking, and job search.
- Provide supports with money management, budgeting, and setting personal and professional boundaries.
- Provide transportation and assistance with understanding medical and behavioral health appointments.
- Perform lifting or assisting with hygiene functions as needed.
- Work on the individual’s valued outcomes with steps for achievement based on observations and the individual’s strengths and needs.
- Meet with the assigned individual several times per week.
- Travel to the assigned location.
- Attend required trainings.
- Know and protect individual’s rights.
- Document each training session and report progress and barriers.
- Receive supervision from the Community Habilitation Supervisor.
Requirements
- Prior experience with related populations, i.e. Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, mental health background.
- Strong interpersonal and engagement skills.
- Ability to document services and understand regulations.
- All positions are subject to a criminal background, fingerprinting and motor vehicle report check.
