About the Role

Join us in our mission to make a difference and shape a more inclusive future. We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our agency. The Maintenance Technician assists in service and repairs in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal. The Maintenance Technician is knowledgeable of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. They work under general supervision but a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs major maintenance projects, service and repairs in the areas of preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, minor HVAC problems, electrical, grounds, cleaning, snow removal, vehicle maintenance, furniture moving and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide labor, skills and expertise, with a primary focus on quality workmanship, the safety, functionality and comfort of residents, participants, staff and visitors.

Requirements

  • NYS Drivers license in good standing
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Experience Level

  • At least 1 year of job related experience

Education Level

Salary/Compensations

  • $20.90 - $24.20
