About the Role

The AI & Digital Innovation team builds and runs AI products used across QuadReal. This role manages the end-to-end delivery of the AI portfolio, making prioritization calls and raising the technical bar without becoming a bottleneck. It acts as the connective glue, ensuring working software is delivered with business value.

Responsibilities

Own delivery outcomes across the portfolio, including what shipped, whether it works, and whether the business is using it.
Manage, coach, and develop the delivery team, setting clear expectations and providing direct feedback.
Set priorities and outcomes for the Project Manager, and clear escalated obstacles.
Own the portfolio roadmap, capacity plan, and budget through the Program Manager, making capacity and sequencing calls.
Distribute ownership to avoid single-threaded initiatives.
Work hands-off with senior specialists, pressure-testing their thinking and making decisions.
Maintain a consistent quality bar across requirements, design reviews, accuracy, evaluation testing, and release readiness.
Stay involved in the work, including prototypes, prompt and agent design, code and design reviews, stakeholder sessions, and documentation.
Screen incoming AI requests against the team intake framework.
Make and communicate sequencing decisions for competing initiatives.
Partner with business sponsors to quantify value and validate it post-launch.
Defer or stop work that will not be profitable, explaining the reasoning clearly.
Build a roadmap where initiatives reinforce each other.
Design with cost in mind, incorporating AI consumption costs into solution design.
Provide consistent technical direction across initiatives, including LLM application patterns and agentic workflows.
Interrogate requirements, decompose compound asks, and surface conflicting requirements.
Own delivery discipline across the development lifecycle, including environments, source control, and CI/CD.
Ensure solutions are instrumented for adoption and benefit measurement.
Operate within enterprise guardrails, including AI governance and security requirements.
Act as the credible face of delivery to the business.
Translate technical constraints into business language and vice versa.
Handle difficult conversations regarding timelines, scope, and feasibility.
Report progress, risk, and realized value to leadership forums.
Manage vendor and partner delivery, including scope, quality, and change control.

Requirements

5+ years delivering technology solutions, including 2+ years managing people or leading a delivery team.
Real AI depth, with experience shipping LLM or ML-based solutions and proficiency in model selection, prompt and agent design, evaluation, and accuracy trade-offs.
Daily use of AI tools and a portfolio of built solutions.
Track record of prioritizing under constraint and communicating difficult decisions effectively.
Demonstrated ability to help business partners quantify value.
Experience owning capacity planning across competing initiatives.
High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
Experience managing within or as part of a software development project, including environments, code review, CI/CD, and release management.
Comfortable with a hands-off approach to senior experts and hands-on mentoring of junior team members.
Sound judgment in ambiguity, balancing business needs with practical implementation.
Commercial real estate, asset management, or financial services background (Nice-to-Have).
Hands-on coding ability (Python, TypeScript) sufficient to review work and build prototypes (Nice-to-Have).
Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Fabric, or Power Platform environments (Nice-to-Have).
Enterprise integration experience, including APIs, MCP, and core platforms (Nice-to-Have).
Agile delivery experience in a fast-moving environment (Nice-to-Have).
Vendor and SOW management experience (Nice-to-Have).
Experience standing up measurement or instrumentation for adoption and benefit tracking (Nice-to-Haves).
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; company does not provide work permit sponsorship.
