About the Role
This role involves the design and verification of semiconductors, including interposers, bridge chips, and chiplet systems. You will be responsible for verifying design rules, performing layout design, and conducting evaluations using EDA tools, contributing to the realization of semiconductor products. Experience in post-processing is not required, and your expertise in semiconductor design, development, evaluation, and layout design will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Examine, verify, and propose improvements to the validity of rule files and verification layouts
- Create rule files based on the Design rule manual and design layouts for verification
- Review the contents of the Design Manual and understand the specifications
- Create and execute rules for DRC, LVS, ERC, and Fill generation, and evaluate the results
- Perform cell library creation and layout design
- Set up the EDA execution environment, organize and store EDA data, understand general specifications, and estimate man-hours
- Create, improve, and document reports, procedures, and scripts, and handle inquiries from design users
- Perform other related ancillary services
Requirements
- Approximately 5 years of experience
- Experience with DRC or ERC (LSI or interposer)
- Ability to understand the contents of the Design rule manual
- Ability to understand tool coding (PVL or PXL) for Pegasus or IC Validator
- Ability to design layouts to verify the validity of rules
- Experience with Pegasus/PVS or IC Validator operations
- Experience with layout tool operation (Virtuoso, DESIGNrev, 3DIC Compiler, APD/Allegro)
- Communication skills for collaboration with other teams
- Experience using MS Office (Excel)
- Experience using Linux
- Experience in document creation (procedures, reports)
Skills
- Script creation using Shell, Python, tcl, etc.
- Calibre tool coding
- ADK or PDK development
- Ability to compare design rules, rule code, and verification layouts and propose improvements
