Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager of Project Management passionate about managing cross-functional stakeholders and balancing project scope and timelines. This role will lead strategic, high-priority projects that drive meaningful business outcomes, owning critical responsibilities and collaborating with forward-thinking peers to deliver exceptional results. The position offers the opportunity to partner with key leaders across the enterprise, push leadership boundaries, and excel alongside top talent to turn big ideas into reality.
Responsibilities
- Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports
- Design, develop, and adapt project plans in a fast-paced environment, revising requirements as needed to meet shifting goals
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation and governance to proactively manage risks and guarantee on-time delivery
- Leverage strong problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure project execution aligns with business intent
- Serve as a strategic and tactical thought partner to project customers and cross-functional teams to drive seamless delivery
- Build strong relationships and leverage outstanding communication skills to inform, align, and influence stakeholders at all levels across the company
- Quickly implement clear frameworks and organization to effectively manage work within complex workstreams
- Lead with a coaching mindset to mentor, develop, and grow a team of associates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 8 years of Project Management experience
- At least 2 years of people management experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- 9+ years of Project Management experience
- 3+ years of people management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
