About the Role

The Brennan Center for Justice seeks interns to provide administrative and clerical support to Development staff, assisting with fundraising and stakeholder cultivation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative duties supporting fundraising and stakeholder cultivation.
  • Conduct prospect research.
  • Assist with external correspondence.
  • Update the fundraising database.
  • Assist with event organization.
  • Prepare mailings to donors.
  • Support individual giving and institutions teams.
  • Attend and observe cross-organizational and multi-team meetings and events.
  • Provide general administrative, research, and clerical work.
  • Perform filing, photocopying, answering phones, shipping and mailing.
  • Coordinate meetings.
  • Draft routine correspondence.
  • Cover the reception desk.
  • Support the Brennan Legacy Awards (Spring semester interns).

Requirements

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Passion for our issues.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is a must.
  • Database experience is a plus.
  • Open to evolving responsibilities.
  • Undergraduate students in Spring 2027.
  • Ability to provide resume, cover letter, and list of three supervisor references.
  • Must register in the online system before emailing application if experiencing difficulty.
