About the Role
This internship provides operational support to the Special Projects and Office Manager within the Operations team at the Brennan Center for Justice. The role involves assisting with administrative, event support, research, and clerical tasks, with opportunities to observe substantive meetings and program work.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general administrative, event support, research, and clerical work.
- Perform tasks such as filing, photocopying, answering phones, shipping and mailing.
- Coordinate meetings and draft routine correspondence.
- Cover the reception desk.
- Attend and observe substantive meetings, events, and conversations on program work.
Requirements
- Independent self-starter, friendly, cheerful, energetic, punctual, resourceful, positive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Passion for the Brennan Center's issues.
- Highly organized and able to find solutions with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable speaking on the phone and greeting visitors.
- Experience with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Open to evolving responsibilities.
- Able to lift over 25lbs.
- Sense of humor.
- Must be an undergraduate student in Spring 2027.
