About the Role

Responsibilities
- Coach, teach, and demonstrate new skills to clients.
- Shadow and assist the team.
- Assist in writing case notes.
- Support individuals in participating in meaningful activities.
- Aid individuals in pursuing personal interests and aspirations.
- Model appropriate boundaries and behaviors.
- Observe and report on activity engagement trends.
- Participate in discussions regarding clients’ individual valued outcomes, core competencies, and progress.
- Assist with group facilitation.
- Assist with client intakes.
- Build on individuals' abilities and maximize their potential.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a degree program that grants credit hours for the internship.
- Must be in a Human Services or related degree program.
- Submit a cover letter with application detailing school, degree program, internship requirements, and program(s) of interest.
- Ability to maintain healthy boundaries with clients.
- Ability to maintain an encouraging and accepting environment.
- Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be capable of sitting or standing in front of a computer for long periods.
- Able to work in an open space floor plan.
- Must be capable of moving throughout the workday.
- Able to work alongside co-workers within 3 feet.
- Must be able to move in tight spaces.
- Occasional lifting of over 15 pounds.
Skills
- Human Services experience is a plus.
