About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Support tasks related to creating new research and maintaining existing research.
  • Understand the research agenda and develop content-area expertise.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative approaches to test investment hypotheses.
  • Develop intuition for the behavior of key market actors and their impact on pricing inefficiencies.
  • Find and select raw data inputs, produce research outputs, and document research methodology.
  • Own existing research, understand its content, make improvements, and manage processes for updating research output.
  • Integrate research so insights from multiple streams can be combined.
  • Assist in systematizing quantitative research, standardizing production, and developing/managing the quantitative research database.
  • Optimize macroeconomic and financial data sourcing.
  • Potentially support Portfolio Managers in implementing and monitoring trades.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex information into practical investment insights.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work and openness to new ideas.
  • Alignment with a values-oriented environment where investor interests are prioritized.
  • Comfort manipulating large datasets, drawing intuitive conclusions, and communicating findings clearly and visually to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to connect research findings to market behavior and practical investment decisions.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with financial markets and/or macroeconomic concepts, terminology, and data is helpful.
  • High proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and experience creating clear charts or dashboards are helpful.
  • Experience using Python, coding agents, and other AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and coding is a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg and other industry-standard macroeconomic and financial market data sources.
