About the Role

The Department of Management and Organizational Studies at Huron University College invites applications for a probationary, full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. or DBA in Management or Business Administration and be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate experience in a small, liberal arts context. The candidate will teach 2.5 full undergraduate courses per year, maintain an active research program, and engage in administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality undergraduate experience in a small, liberal arts context.
  • Teach 1.5 courses in project management per year.
  • Teach 1.0 additional undergraduate courses per year.
  • Maintain an active research program that is inclusive of undergraduate researchers.
  • Engage in the administrative life of the department and university.
  • Teach in a small liberal-arts, seminar-style format.
  • Contribute to service within the school or university.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or DBA completed, or ABD with all requirements expected to be fulfilled by July 1, 2027, in one or more of the following areas: project management, strategy, operations, organizational behaviour, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
  • Demonstrated record of research achievement and the capacity to generate scholarly outputs.
  • Evidence of ability to teach across the curriculum core in management alongside electives.
  • Willingness to teach in a small liberal-arts, seminar-style format, or experience with experiential/applied learning.
  • Ability to communicate the relevance of their research to a business audience.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively to ensure consistency across multi-section courses and to foster a culture of inquiry, collegiality, and creativity.
