About the Role
The Senior Designer is responsible for developing and delivering creative marketing and promotional assets that support Jazz at Lincoln Center’s performances, fundraising initiatives, and institutional priorities. This role translates creative briefs and strategic objectives into compelling visual communications that strengthen the Jazz at Lincoln Center brand, engage audiences, and advance institutional, programmatic, and fundraising goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce marketing and promotional materials across print, digital, environmental, and experiential platforms.
- Develop creative concepts and visual direction for signature programs and initiatives.
- Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective visual communications.
- Art direct and oversee the work of freelance designers, photographers, illustrators, and other creative partners.
- Supervise print production and installation.
Requirements
- BA in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience.
- Min. 5+ years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio.
- Expertise in Adobe CC including inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Strong typography, layout, branding, and visual communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
- Experience in the arts, cultural, nonprofit, or live events industry.
- Knowledge of UX/UI, motion graphics, photography retouching, and video editing.
- Familiarity with accessibility and digital best practices.
- Experience mentoring designers or leading creative projects.
