About the Role
Performs laboratory tests relevant to assigned sections, including quality control testing. Responsible for routine and non-routine activities pertaining to laboratory testing and reporting results under the guidance of a Medical Technologist. Performs assigned analytical testing procedures accurately, precisely, and in a timely manner. Also performs clerical and computer-related activities with supervision dependent on experience and training.
Responsibilities
- Performs laboratory tests relevant to the section(s) in which they are assigned including quality control testing following established criteria.
- Responsible for performing routine and non-routine activities pertaining to laboratory testing and the reporting of results under the guidance of the Medical Technologist.
- Performs assigned analytical testing procedures in an accurate, precise and timely manner.
- Performs clerical and computer related activities with a degree of supervision dependent on experience and training.
Requirements
- One year experience
- Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
- Occupational: Some occupational risk
- Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
- Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
