Responsibilities
- Responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory
- Maintains laboratory records
- Follows laboratory policies and procedures
- Maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology
- Certification as a Medical Technologist in the following specialties: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology
- Min 4 years of experience as Medical Technologist
- Significant manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity
- Some occupational risk
- Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
- Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
