About the Role
Plan and perform maintenance and repair operations on complex numerical control equipment, including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components, circuit boards, and schematic diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform all required operations pertaining to the maintenance and repair of complicated numerical control equipment.
- Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble.
- Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
- Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
- Perform electrical test operations on all tape controlled equipment.
- Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
- Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
- Check boards for proper assembly, wiring, and accuracy of all component parts.
- Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
- Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties.
- Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations.
- Administer 5 S’s
- Complete training as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- 2-year degree in electronics or electrical technology or experiential equivalent
- 5 years of experience in NC and CNC repair
- Industrial mechanical background
- Regularly lift, push, and carry items weighing 50 pounds
- Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Syracuse, NY (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
