About the Role

As a System Engineer Database Administration, you will be responsible for the operation and further development of your clients' data center environments. You will also engage with the latest trends and technologies, implementing them directly at your clients' sites or remotely, for example, from home.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Oracle databases in complex client environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
• Perform performance analyses, tuning measures, and troubleshooting.
• Create scripts to automate tasks and cooperate with other IT teams to ensure database integrity and security.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or degree in an IT-related field or comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in managing Oracle databases.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, scripting (e.g., Bash, Python), and ideally with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Structured, self-reliant way of working, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer orientation, flexibility, and willingness to travel.
