About the Role
Rho is seeking a Growth Engineer to establish the company as the leading answer for startup and business banking across search engines and AI platforms. The role involves hands-on building and shipping of production code to enhance an existing agentic SEO/AEO system, making it faster, more reliable, and autonomous. Success will be measured by AI citation share, keyword rankings, organic signups, and funded accounts.
Responsibilities
- Own AI visibility, citations, and sentiment across all tracked topics using AEO/SEO dashboards and implement fixes based on weekly data.
- Manage the weekly operating rhythm, including competitor intelligence, keyword-based AI citation position analysis, and reporting an SEO/AEO scorecard.
- Ship page changes directly to rho.co via CMS and codebase, including on-page optimization, structured data, internal linking, and new page creation, with protected pages undergoing review.
- Manage and expand the multi-agent content pipeline for new articles and product page updates, encompassing research, drafting, review, and sign-off.
- Maintain the claims and competitor source-of-truth layer for all content to ensure accuracy and verification.
- Monitor technical SEO and AEO health, including crawlability, indexing, AI crawler access, site performance, and regressions, using alerts to proactively identify issues.
- Develop a measurement feed linking search and AI visibility to signups, funded accounts, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) by product line.
- Lead a concentrated effort to dominate the incorporation category through strategic cluster, page, and comparison development.
- Ensure all systems have monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for autonomous operation.
Requirements
- Possess a strong generalist engineering background, capable of owning a system from data pipeline to production changes and alerting.
- Demonstrate deep, current knowledge of technical SEO and a clear understanding of how AI answer engines select and cite sources.
- Proficient with the SEO toolchain (e.g., Ahrefs, Google Search Console, rank-tracking APIs) and AI visibility platforms (e.g., Profound).
- Experience building LLM or agentic content pipelines that have been deployed to production with human and compliance review gates.
- Comfortable operating within a regulated business environment, adhering to disclosure, verification, and compliance review processes.
- Rigorous approach to monitoring and alerting to proactively identify system issues.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and capable of applying learned skills to new growth challenges.
