About the Role
The Clift Royal Sonesta San Francisco is seeking a dependable and service-oriented House Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. The House Attendant helps maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel’s public and back-of-house areas while supporting Room Attendants and responding promptly to guest needs.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest hallways, elevators, stairwells, public areas, service areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Vacuum carpets, clean floors, dust surfaces, remove trash, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Deliver linens, towels, amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and other requested items to guestrooms.
- Stock housekeeping closets and carts with linens, supplies, and guest amenities.
- Collect soiled linens and trash from guestroom floors and transport them to designated areas.
- Assist Room Attendants with stripping guestrooms and other housekeeping duties as needed.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, lost-and-found items, and unusual conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, keys, and guest property.
- Comply with all hotel safety, security, sanitation, and service standards.
- Support the Housekeeping team with additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience is preferred but not required.
- A strong commitment to cleanliness and guest service.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments independently.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- This position requires regular standing and walking throughout the shift, as well as bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and using stairs.
- The House Attendant must be able to move housekeeping carts and equipment and lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or reasonable accommodation when appropriate.
