About the Role
The Location Support Specialist is a customer-facing team member who provides superior service by stocking and managing vendor-managed inventory on site at various locations. This role ensures inventory areas are clean, safe, organized, and accurately labeled, and that physical inventory levels are reflected correctly in the vendor-managed inventory software.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stocks weekly and emergency replenishment shipments.
- Inspects weekly replenishment shipments to ensure correct quantities and products have arrived.
- Completes inventory cycle counts on a weekly or quarterly basis.
- Maintains vendor-managed inventory areas to be clean, safe, organized, and accurately labeled.
- Resolves on-site customer issues promptly and accurately.
- Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish goals and resolve issues.
- Interacts with customers to discuss their on-site needs and forwards these needs to the sales team.
- Communicates regularly with the sales team and customer as needed.
- Takes ownership for meeting established individual and team metrics and company standards.
- Completes administrative tasks on non-scheduled stock days (up to 2 hours per week).
- Indirectly responsible for product quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 2+ years of Customer Service experience is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites in the designated area.
- Must pass a background clearance and drug screening.
- Must be computer literate and able to navigate required software programs including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Skills
- Inventory Management experience is preferred.
- Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with customers and the sales team in a professional manner in person, over the phone, and email.
- Stockroom experience is preferred.
