About the Role
The ABAP ODATA Developer participates in designing and coding complex features, debugging, unit testing, building, configuring, and deploying application software.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate full responsibility on assigned objects and handle tasks independently.
- Analyze, design, and recommend third-party tools and custom applications.
- Analyze required functionality and implement customizations or develop custom solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and create technical specifications.
- Supply estimations, status updates, and escalations for timely delivery.
- Provide support to live projects and develop new objects for ongoing projects.
- Provide ongoing support to business and content teams managing sites on strategic technology platforms.
- Provide technical oversight to project delivery team members.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and experience implementing SAP solutions and systems.
- Minimum 3 full SAP Implementation project life cycle experience with solid demonstrated expertise in managing implementation projects of SAP technologies and SAP Development projects.
- Good experience in SAP support project life cycle.
- Experience in ABAP objects, OO Programming, Conversions, Enhancements, BADI and Performance Tuning.
- Strong experience in Gateway services and oData concept.
- Good experience in WebDynpro applications and Webservices.
- Good experience in FPM reports.
- Strong background in SAP Technical Development (ABAP) / ABAP for HANA.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori is an advantage.
- Intermediate-high level English language communication is required.
- Experience managing integration to and from SAP systems.
- SAFe Agile or other Agile methodologies experience preferred.
Skills
- Core ABAP & S/4HANA: Deep expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS views, SAP Data Dictionary, SQL tuning, and S/4HANA migrations.
- Deep, hands-on experience with classic SAP Business Workflow.
- Deep, Hands-on experience with Adobe forms Development.
- Modern Extensibility: Strong knowledge of RAP and SAP Fiori/OData integration.
- Integration & Tools: Familiarity with SAP BTP, PI, Solution Manager, and Agile/DevOps pipeline tools.
