About the Role

The Licensed Insurance Advisor (LIA) will support potential and existing Individual insurance clients, meeting sales and retention targets through GreenShield’s in-house sales center. This includes new client acquisition, client retention, relationship building, and supporting cross-selling initiatives. The role requires a needs-based approach that prioritizes customers. This position reports to the Manager, Sales & Retention, Individual Direct Channel.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with potential and/or existing GreenShield Individual insurance clients to understand their needs and recommend solutions.
  • Leverage GreenShield contact strategy to engage with clients through inbound & outbound calls and email.
  • Promote additional GreenShield’s products or solutions.
  • Support clients through outbound and inbound calling while providing a first-class customer experience.
  • Achieve sales, retention, quality, and activity targets.
  • Capture and provide feedback from clients to help improve GreenShield processes, products, and services.
  • Accurately complete all CRM and Telephony logging activities.
  • Participate in regular sales coaching sessions with your direct line Manager.
  • Review individual performance and adjust as required to achieve pre-set targets and goals.
  • Engage in ongoing training and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Maintain all valid LLQP licensing requirements, including Continuing Education (CE) credits.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or retention in a call center environment.
  • Experience in insurance sales is a plus.
  • Full LLQP/HLLQP for at least two consecutive years (preferred).
  • Ability to secure additional provincial licensing within the first three months of employment.
  • Previous insurance or financial industry knowledge.
  • Familiarity with various insurance products (Health & Dental, Travel) and their client value.
  • Previous experience with call center methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
