About the Role

Manage roofing and waterproofing projects from award through closeout, owning the budget, schedule, and client relationships. Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success and identify potential issues with proposed solutions. This role offers direct mentorship and a clear path toward managing larger and more complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of roofing and waterproofing projects, owning schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
  • Review scope, drawings, and specifications at award, and run kickoff meetings.
  • Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals.
  • Review contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders, flagging risk.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, and coordinate crews and resources.
  • Track costs, change orders, and RFIs, and prepare progress billing applications.
  • Manage manufacturer warranty documentation, as built drawings, and closeout records.
  • Run progress reviews with superintendents and contractors, and escalate problem areas.
  • Keep senior management current on project status, potential liabilities, and issues.
  • Maintain client and consultant relationships, and support warranty claims and site visits.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years managing commercial or industrial roofing and waterproofing projects.
  • Some experience in building envelope work.
  • Working familiarity with roofing assemblies, waterproofing systems, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Exposure to CCDC contracts, lien legislation, and the change order process.
  • Comfortable with MS Office and project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Valid driver license and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Takes ownership of projects and admits mistakes quickly.
  • Stays organized under pressure and can manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Asks good questions, takes direction well, and makes reasonable decisions independently.
  • Communicates clearly with contractors and clients, even during difficult conversations.
  • Desire to grow into more responsibility and accepts mentorship.
