About the Role
You'll own the full implementation journey for Kaizen's federal customers, including scoping the rollout, configuring the platform, training agency staff, and ensuring adoption. You will work within classified and accredited environments, considering data movement constraints and partnering with the engineering team to ensure deployed software aligns with agency operations.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end federal implementations: discovery, scoping, configuration, data migration, integrations, training, go-live, and post-launch support.
- Lead onboarding for agency stakeholders and career staff, translating their needs into a rollout plan.
- Work within classification and data-handling constraints as a design input, coordinating with engineering on build capabilities.
- Translate field patterns back to Product and Engineering, including edge cases, workflow gaps, and essential day-one needs.
- Act as the connective tissue between customer-facing implementation and engineering.
- Build playbooks, templates, and internal documentation to expedite future federal deployments.
- Guide public sector partners through the change management of replacing legacy systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years in SaaS implementation, onboarding, solutions engineering, or a product-adjacent delivery role (Implementation Consultant, Solutions Architect, Technical Program Manager), with a track record of owning multi-stakeholder rollouts.
- Technical fluency: comfortable working with APIs, data models, and system configurations, and able to discuss integration tradeoffs with engineers.
- Experience translating customer requirements into implementation plans and technical workflows.
- Comfort operating inside classified or otherwise accredited environments, or a clear ability to quickly learn new compliance and data-handling constraints.
- A bias toward action: willingness to build processes while running deployments.
- Ability to work with government bureaucracy and slow-moving stakeholders.
- Understanding of the weight of deploying systems that serve people who have no other options if the system fails.
