About the Role
KidsCare Home Health is looking for compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one pediatric care in a home setting. If you’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families, we’d love to have you join our team. As a Private Duty Home Health Nurse, you’ll deliver high-quality, personalized care to children in the comfort of their homes. You’ll work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a collaborative, supportive environment where your voice is valued and your skills are appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in their homes according to the active plan of care.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician.
- Document timely, clear, concise, and accurate clinical notes.
- Notify the RN Case Manager of any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Educate patients and their families on specific details of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure quality care and goal achievement.
- Utilize appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
Requirements
- Current State Registered Nursing License or compact license where applicable.
- One (1) Year Home Health Experience.
- One (1) Year Pediatric Experience.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Reliable Transportation.
Skills
- Reliable transportation to office and patients' homes.
- Bending, reaching, standing, stooping, sitting, twisting, talking, and hearing.
- Ability to push and pull 50 pounds.
- Ability to support 50 pounds of weight.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with weights of more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to carry equipment and supplies.
- Ability to see information up to 24 inches away.
