About the Role

Works on one or more complex programs, focusing on planning, administration, and direction. Oversees coordination of activities and resources, impacting operations, systems, and patients. Develops performance and financial objectives, monitors program performance, and ensures objectives are met. Ensures activities are well-planned, organized, and regulatory compliant. Supports department goals and objectives, serving as a coach, mentor, and liaison.

Responsibilities

  • Provides program leadership, develops business and growth strategies, and manages program execution to meet goals.
  • Champions process excellence to continually improve operations and performance.
  • Responsible for proposal development, program performance, and business growth.
  • Helps expand program offerings and enhances the quality of existing programs.
  • Applies advanced skills to critical or high visibility tasks and insights to critical activities.
  • Participates in the budget and grant application process.
  • Identifies opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished.
  • Manages day-to-day program operations, ensuring high-quality results/services.
  • Develops and implements policies, standard work, processes, and workflows for efficient operations.
  • Evaluates program management practices and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses potential barriers or issues with program activities.
  • Serves as a resource for issue/problem resolution and responds to escalated issues.
  • Serves as liaison to internal and external constituents and promotes program goals.
  • Implements and enforces adherence to program, department, affiliate, and/or system standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provides in-service training upon request.
  • Ensures the maintenance of appropriate records and supplies.
  • Supports the design and implementation of marketing strategies to increase program awareness and growth.
  • Evaluates and implements short- and long-term plans and goals for community/program outreach activities.
  • Develops industry partnerships and promotes the program in the community.
  • Coaches and mentors program staff, motivating them to maintain excellence.
  • Provides input into recruiting, coaching, and performance evaluation of program staff.
  • Oversees and coordinates preparation of internal and external reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing program data.
  • Works on overall program/project planning.
  • Provides support by gathering and analyzing data for quality improvement efforts.
  • Prepares presentation materials/reports as needed.

Requirements

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.
