About the Role

Support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) organization with Firmwide project management activities, including acting as Project Manager, coordinating meetings and steering committees, status reporting, issue tracking, and resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead management reporting, periodic review and monitoring for material projects, and deep involvement in critical projects requiring special attention.
  • Provide project governance as listed in group's procedure and guide project managers throughout the project lifecycle from Initiation to Closure.
  • Provide governance and oversight into Billing & Delivery activities, acting as first line of defense, and reviewing status updates for completeness, consistency, and severity alignment.
  • Own and maintain tools and artifacts, and chair and coordinate working group meetings.
  • Provide vendor management support by working on contracts, onboarding consultants, and any other vendor-related tasks.
  • Manage and act as a gatekeeper of the IT project prioritization process with the help of a supervisor, including reviewing new items, cleaning up the master list, maintaining the project management registration tool, and communicating with IT (Business Management).
  • Serve as a primary contact for Enterprise management information from the firm, including catching up with new policy updates, ensuring firm compliance, and guiding project managers.
  • Produce high-quality workflow diagrams, dashboards, documents, and presentations for reviewing key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and host meetings, write meeting minutes, and track actions.
  • Embrace and adapt new technologies to increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, finance, technology, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in project and/or business management and senior management reporting.
  • The employer will accept a single degree or any combination of education, experience, or professional credentials determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service.
  • Required skills: Project Management; Business Analysis; Documentation & Management Reporting; Issue Resolution; Experience working in financial services environment; experience working on projects supporting Fixed Income and Equities product; Experience working on system application supporting middle and back office.
  • The required skill set does not need to be maintained over the full term of the required experience.
