About the Role
The Director, Technical Solutions leads the end-to-end technical delivery of mission-critical Workplace Benefits initiatives, translating business strategy into secure, scalable solutions that improve customer outcomes, enable growth, and advance modernization, including AI-enabled capabilities. This role aligns cross-functional teams, makes clear technical trade-offs, and creates conditions for predictable, high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap and end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, from discovery and architecture through implementation and transition to operations.
- Translate business objectives into secure, scalable solutions that improve customer outcomes, enable growth and reduce friction.
- Lead cross-functional teams across architecture, engineering, integration, security and operations, providing clear direction and accountability.
- Make and communicate informed trade-offs across scope, cost, risk, quality and delivery timelines.
- Identify and mitigate technical, security, performance, compliance and operational risks.
- Ensure solutions are ready for launch and ongoing operation, including testing, support, warranty, security and lifecycle planning.
- Ensure delivery aligns with approved architecture patterns, engineering standards, security controls and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with business, PMO, architecture, security, risk, operations and vendors to develop estimates, manage dependencies and enable predictable delivery.
- Advance automation, AI-enabled delivery and engineering practices that improve speed, quality, reliability and maintainability.
- Manage people and financial resources responsibly while building trusted relationships across internal and external partners.
- Build an inclusive, accountable and high-performing culture through coaching, continuous learning, experimentation and a progress-over-perfection mindset.
Requirements
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in business, computer science or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six or more years of progressive engineering or technology leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex, regulated, multi-system initiatives and leading teams through change.
- Strong business and systems thinking, with the ability to connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
- Working knowledge of modern engineering practices, including automated testing, deployment automation and secure software delivery.
- Outcome-driven and pragmatic with a bias for action, balancing speed, risk, quality and long-term sustainability.
- Clear, influential communication and a track record of building collaborative relationships across business, technology and vendor partners.
- Experience coaching technical practitioners and building accountable, inclusive teams.
- A growth mindset: you seek feedback, learn quickly and adapt your approach as priorities evolve.

Salary/Compensations
- $128,200 - $178,200 annually
