About the Role
As a Senior Accountant – Cross Border Tax at Baker Tilly, you will leverage your expertise to drive meaningful outcomes and shape future initiatives. You will collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference for clients, communities, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Cross Border individual and corporate tax returns.
- Verify tax assessments.
- Perform technical research and document tax plan recommendations.
- Correspond with clients, other advisors, and tax authorities.
- Coordinate and manage client accounts.
- Assist managers and partners with tax initiatives, including developing and implementing tax planning strategies.
- Understand, analyze, and research tax queries for clients, Partners, Senior Managers, and Managers.
- Collaborate with and support team members in providing exceptional client service.
- Provide leadership and direction to junior team members to ensure timely completion of filings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years relevant work experience.
- Experience working in a public practice Accounting Firm is an asset.
- Superior people and client service skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Adept organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
