About the Role

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for end-to-end talent acquisition services for an assigned line of business, supporting the team in other areas as needed. You will execute tactics and best practices that contribute to the overall Talent Acquisition strategy and act as a consulting partner to your assigned line of business, ensuring continuous improvement in candidate quality.

Responsibilities

  • Attend community events as an ambassador for the GreenShield mission, vision, and values.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and manage the full recruitment cycle.
  • Proactively source candidates through various channels including online platforms, social media, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Facilitate and lead interviews with candidates, hiring leaders, and team members.
  • Conduct background checks and employment verifications/reference checks.
  • Provide an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience with timely communication and feedback.
  • Document and report activity in ATS and related tools.
  • Prepare and present job offers, negotiate total rewards, and facilitate onboarding.
  • Utilize ATS and recruitment tools effectively and recommend optimizations.
  • Work closely with other Talent Acquisition Specialists and the P&C team to apply consistent practices.
  • Meet or exceed key outcome-based metrics to ensure a healthy candidate pipeline.
  • Participate in talent acquisition quality assurance monitoring programs.
  • Share ideas and insights to improve processes, philosophies, and recruitment culture.
  • Evaluate and analyze recruitment processes to identify improvements and implement best practices.
  • Leverage data to question feedback, understand perspectives, and propose solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to optimize the talent acquisition process.
  • Build, influence, and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Provide insights, feedback, and reports to Talent Acquisition leadership.
  • Collect and document data for a smooth pre-onboarding and onboarding experience.
  • Manage the new hire’s file from offer to first day of onboarding.
  • Contribute to the improvement and execution of onboarding procedures.
  • Welcome new talent and align recruitment and onboarding experiences for their success.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, human resources management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter, preferably in a fast-paced agency or startup environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software/sourcing platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commercial mindset with business acumen and understanding of product-led business.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to occasionally travel within Canada.
  • Proficiency in English is required for communication with colleagues or customers who use English as their primary language.
