About the Role

The Vocational Counselor is responsible for delivering vocational, educational, and guidance services as a member of the program’s treatment team.

Responsibilities

  • Completes vocational/educational comprehensive assessments and quarterly progress reports.
  • Develops and facilitates the implementation of vocational/educational treatment plans consistent with agency standards and applicable administrative rules.
  • Provides individual vocational and educational counseling to clients to assist them in reaching their goals.
  • Conducts vocational/educational group counseling, including group setup, member recruitment, goal establishment, and rule clarification.
  • Documents vocational/educational outcomes using accepted methods and instruments.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with staff via written communication and participates in meetings.
  • Creates and maintains relationships with referral sources and other vocational/educational agencies.
  • Brings vocational/educational issues to the attention of clinical counselors and social workers for intervention.
  • Oversees job application, evaluation, and training processes in collaboration with the house manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • CASAC/CASAC-T required.
  • CRC preferred.
