About the Role
This Co-op opportunity is for a candidate to join the Engineering Design and Development team, assisting in testing and transitioning newly designed products to manufacturing. The role involves testing and troubleshooting new prototype systems and devices, performing root cause analysis for failures, and documenting all testing and transition processes.
Responsibilities
- Utilize laboratory equipment to perform design validation testing on new products
- Generate detailed reports of product testing and observations
- Design and build general and highly custom electrical testing apparatus
- Create detailed work instructions for new products to be used in manufacturing
- Complete small scale initial prototype builds of new products
- Document completed new products for transition to manufacturing
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have completed 2 years of Electrical Engineering coursework in Circuit Basics and be in good academic standing
- Transcript or relevant job experience required
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident as some work may include ITAR restricted material
Skills
- Experience in Python a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical skills to assemble and troubleshoot prototype designs
