About the Role

The Product Transitions team oversees the operational setup, launch, and restructure of CC&L's Canadian, US, and global investment funds. The team develops and executes transition plans by combining a deep understanding of investment strategies, operational requirements, and the needs of clients and investment managers. Partnering closely with investment teams, custodians, brokers, legal and compliance, and operational teams, the team manages over 100 fund transitions annually.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the onboarding and relationship management of custodians, prime brokers and trading counterparties, including KYC/AML processes, account opening documentation, legal agreements, and operational setup.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
  • Analyze and identify operational and portfolio management requirements, and work with internal teams to set up new funds.
  • Participate in product and operational meetings to provide updates on onboarding progress and counterparty developments.
  • Utilize Smartsheet, SharePoint and S&P Global Counterparty Manager for project tracking, reporting, and coordination of deliverables.
  • Maintenance of onboarding tools, project plans and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in investment operations, finance or banking.
  • Experience with investment products, knowledge of financial markets and funds preferred.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to provide succinct written and verbal communication.
  • Confident and comfortable expressing opinions and making decisions.
  • Analytical, creative and growth mindset.
  • Ability to thrive at solving problems and making sound decisions under pressure.
