About the Role

Samba is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to build and manage the marketing technology stack, ensure data integrity, and optimize lead and campaign processes. This role serves as a key liaison between marketing, sales, revenue operations, and finance, ensuring consistent data and definitions across teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable systems, managing complex data, and providing reliable reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Own HubSpot as the marketing team’s system of record, including properties, workflows, lists, forms, email deliverability, user permissions, and governance standards.
  • Connect HubSpot and the wider marketing stack to Salesforce and other tools, monitoring sync health for reliable data transfer.
  • Evaluate new software, run pilots, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Maintain a documented map of the marketing stack and plan future enhancements, including AI and automation tools.
  • Build and maintain lead scoring and routing logic for efficient lead distribution.
  • Set up multi-touch attribution models to track marketing channel effectiveness.
  • Maintain database hygiene, including duplicate record cleanup, data standards, and privacy compliance.
  • Support account-based marketing initiatives with target account lists and engagement scoring.
  • Standardize funnel stages with clear definitions and handoff rules.
  • Own campaign setup standards, including UTM conventions and naming taxonomy.
  • Set up tracking for marketing experiments and A/B testing.
  • Document internal processes and create playbooks for scalability.
  • Build processes that accommodate global operations across different regions.
  • Partner with RevOps and Sales Ops to ensure seamless data flow from marketing to closed-won contracts.
  • Build dashboards for marketing, sales leadership, and executives covering key funnel and pipeline metrics.
  • Track performance across various marketing channels.
  • Partner with finance to track spend against budget and report on key financial metrics like CAC and ROI.
  • Support planning with funnel math tied to pipeline targets and conduct reporting reviews.
  • Train marketing and sales teams on HubSpot and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, or marketing technology, ideally in B2B SaaS, data, or media.
  • Expert-level HubSpot administration skills.
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience, including the HubSpot–Salesforce integration, campaign objects, and lead and contact management.
  • A track record of building lead scoring, routing, and lifecycle stage frameworks that sales teams adopted.
  • Working knowledge of attribution models (first-touch, last-touch, multi-touch).
  • Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and consent management in a global marketing database.
  • Strong analytical skills with power-user spreadsheet skills.
  • Experience with at least one BI or reporting tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, HubSpot and Salesforce reporting).
  • A systems thinker who documents as they build and leaves processes better than they found them.
  • Clear communicator who can explain data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management instincts: ability to juggle multiple stakeholders, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • SQL skills or experience with a data warehouse (Nice to Have).
  • Experience with data enrichment, intent, or ABM platforms (e.g., Demandbase) (Nice to Have).
  • Experience supporting marketing teams across multiple countries and time zones (Nice to Have).
