About the Role
Tradesmen International is hiring experienced Structural Steel Welders for projects in Olean, NY. This is a first shift opportunity with competitive pay and per diem for eligible travelers.
Responsibilities
- Weld large-diameter pipe in accordance with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code
- Perform FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) on heavy structural steel components
- Complete multipass groove welds and CJP (Complete Joint Penetration) welds
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Ensure all welds meet quality and structural specifications
- Assist with rigging and material handling as needed
- Work safely in a structural steel fabrication shop environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of structural steel welding experience
- Proficient in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) processes
- Experience welding heavy structural steel components
- Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding requirements
- Able to pass company welding qualification tests
- Experience with multipass groove welds and CJP welds
