About the Role
Serve as the primary point of contact for mental and behavioral health services for employees, conducting intakes to identify suitable candidates for short-term treatment, providing direct therapy, and facilitating referrals for longer-term or specialized care. Collaborate with the clinical care team and medical providers for holistic patient support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intakes (1–2 sessions) to assess suitability for short-term treatment.
- Coordinate referrals to network partners for longer-term care.
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions using clinical interviews, validated screeners, and medical records.
- Partner with patients to define personal, social, and vocational goals.
- Deliver individual therapy using evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT, CAMS).
- Manage crisis situations with confidence and sound clinical judgment.
- Contribute to the care team through consultation, case management, care coordination, and referral management.
Requirements
- Active New York State licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or PsyD/PhD.
- 5+ years of clinical experience.
- Masters level candidates.
- Strong background in individual psychotherapy with adults, treating concerns such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, addiction, grief, relationship and family challenges, and work-life balance.
- Understanding of the pressures of high-stress, high-performance work environments.
- Proven experience in crisis management and in identifying, preventing, and managing suicidal behavior.
- Working knowledge of NYC referral networks and community resources.
- Experience supporting high-performing professionals in the corporate or financial sectors is a plus.
