About the Role

Testing of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods to support sustainable farming, strong communities, and the mission to deliver fresh, local dairy to families every day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Document all testing and results daily.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the following licenses with the New York State Department of Agriculture: Direct Microscopic Count, Drug Residue (Charm SL) and Milk Receiver.
  • Must be able to use basic laboratory equipment.
  • Working safely, following all Company policies and complying with all Federal, State and County regulations is a condition of employment.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and SPC Plating.
  • Ability to read and interpret test results, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively and convey information to other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
