About the Role
Community Healthcare Network is seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their Medical Affairs leadership. This role involves primary care leadership at a CHN Center, supervising clinicians, and ensuring quality primary care in collaboration with center leadership. The position is primarily clinical with at least 20% administrative time.
Responsibilities
- Provides high-quality primary care and maintains a patient panel.
- Mentors and oversees Primary Care clinicians, conducting regular meetings and annual performance reviews.
- Collaborates with Nursing and Operations leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
- Reviews and responds to occurrence reports in a timely manner.
- Develops relationships with local organizations.
- Collaborates with clinicians in Psychiatry, Dental, Podiatry, and Optometry.
- Ensures consistent clinician staffing and manages PTO requests.
- Oversees peer reviews of clinician charts and develops performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Supports regulatory compliance with various health organizations.
- Reviews and oversees quality measures to meet standards and develops QI strategies.
- Participates in network-wide clinical committees and initiatives.
- Communicates regularly with the Director of Primary Care regarding site issues, quality metrics, and clinician concerns.
- Attends and participates in monthly medical director meetings.
- Assists with recruiting and onboarding new Primary Care clinicians.
- Monitors time and attendance of site primary care clinicians and approves overtime.
- Communicates with clinicians regarding absences and provides updates during site huddles and staff meetings.
- Reviews weekly data reports to monitor clinician performance and provide support or disciplinary action.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of approved and accredited training to practice medicine as a Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Current New York State license to practice medicine as a Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse leader, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.

Salary/Compensations
- Medical Director (Nurse Practitioner): $173,901–$184,770 USD annually
- Medical Director (Family Medicine): $226,002–$254,252 USD annually
