About the Role
This individual will play a crucial role in curating visual content, ensuring brand consistency, enhancing user experience (UX) for our web presence, managing digital displays, and performing Drupal content management. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our web team, our creative team, and our content team and be responsible for updating our events database, ensuring our digital communications are engaging, effective, and on-brand.
Responsibilities
- Organizes, monitors, and updates information on the University and College websites.
- Supports users and modifies content as requested by stakeholders.
- Proposes suggestions for improvements to website content.
- Maintains a content production and review schedule.
- Collaborates with college web producers to coordinate activities and increase organic search rankings.
- Develops content to enhance awareness of institutional programs and services.
- Develops and implements assigned web content and digital communication initiatives using established strategies.
- Coordinates and executes assigned website development projects in support of marketing and communication initiatives.
- Manages data input for University events calendars, ensuring accuracy and timely presentation.
- Actively monitors University web pages for broken links, misspellings, policy violations, and accessibility issues.
- Works with content contributors to make corrections and improvements.
- Responds to requests in a timely fashion, offering effective solutions.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to maintain and monitor web information accuracy.
- Ensures website content aligns with institutional goals and objectives.
- Ensures website content has a look and feel consistent with University brand guidelines.
- Provides routine content maintenance including creating new web pages, updating text, images, and video.
- Implements processes and guidelines to ensure web content is current and accurate.
- Reviews website analytics, accessibility findings, user-experience feedback, and search visibility to identify areas for improvement.
- Applies SEO and AI-search best practices.
- Recommends and implements content and design changes to improve website usability, discoverability, and engagement.
- Works with strategic marketing communications team to ensure web content accuracy.
- Administers University web governance standards by coordinating website editing access, reviewing content for compliance, and training campus content contributors.
- Communicates and enforces applicable content, branding, accessibility, and design requirements.
- Sources, curates, and edits high-quality images that align with the brand's visual identity.
- Maintains an organized image library for easy access and use across various digital platforms.
- Independently plans, designs, and produces digital communication assets from concept through final delivery.
- Collaborates with Creative Services, Marketing, and campus stakeholders to determine project requirements.
- Develops appropriate design solutions.
- Coordinates revisions and prepares final assets for publication.
- Ensures all digital assets comply with University brand, accessibility, and communication standards.
- Creates website and landing page designs and imagery.
- Designs email templates.
- Designs display advertising.
- Designs digital signage.
- Designs mobile announcements.
- Designs infographics.
- Designs evergreen content.
- Designs email newsletters.
- Curation of images for various projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working skills and knowledge of marketing, communications, public relations, branding, and/or related disciplines.
- Working knowledge of protocols and institutional etiquette related to public and media relations.
- Working knowledge of copyright and other applicable laws pertaining to publications and the media.
- Skilled in developing and implementing marketing and/or communications strategies and campaigns.
- Strong project planning and organizational skills to plan, organize, and manage multiple marketing projects.
- Strong composition and editing skills to quickly produce clear and concise standard documents for internal and external publication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to create and deliver marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Ability to provide lead work direction and training to others.
- Proficiency in using communication and marketing software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and possessing a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and complete action items efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate/interact professionally and tactfully with people of different levels of education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences.

- Demonstrated ability to write copy for multiple mediums.
- Strong proofreading and copy-editing skills.
- Familiar with basic design, photo and video best practices.
- Familiar with project management software.
- Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship or authorization to work in the United States, within three business days from their date of hire.
