About the Role
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to build and maintain automated testing infrastructure across our products. This role involves designing test frameworks, setting up cross-platform test environments, identifying bugs, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with engineers to ensure high quality. You will apply your skills wherever testing is most needed in a hands-on, adaptable capacity. Familiarity with AI tools is expected as the team uses AI daily and the product secures enterprise AI adoption.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain test frameworks for UI, browser extensions, endpoint agent, or backend services.
- Build and run cross-platform tests on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Set up test environments to validate the endpoint agent.
- Expand, run, and investigate load tests to validate system behavior at scale.
- Investigate bugs, write failing tests, and file detailed tickets.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, set up quality gates, and generate detailed test reports.
- Monitor, triage, and improve test coverage and the QA roadmap.
- File detailed bugs in Jira and escalate critical issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years as an SDET building and maintaining automated test infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of TypeScript, Java, or Rust.
- Experience with modern test frameworks and willingness to learn new ones.
- Cross-platform testing experience, including setting up environments and debugging platform-specific issues.
- CI/CD pipeline knowledge, integrating tests into GitLab CI or similar.
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to speed up workflows and boost productivity.
- Solid debugging skills.
- Proficiency with Git, code review, and CI/CD systems.
- Proactive ownership of quality, seeking out risks before they reach production.
- A thorough, creative approach to complex and often custom testing challenges.
- Ability to write test code with rigor, readability, and discipline.
- Ability to balance broad coverage with observability, reliability, and fast feedback.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and continuous improvement.
