About the Role
The Development & Engagement Specialist acts as a key liaison between CMH and the Chenango community, focusing on fundraising, engagement, communications, outreach, and advocacy to enhance CMH's image and raise funds for its Foundation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a connection between CMH and the greater Chenango community for fundraising, engagement, communications, outreach, and advocacy.
- Elevate the image and reputation of CMH.
- Raise funds and awareness on behalf of the hospital’s Foundation.
- Collaborate with donors, community partners, hospital stakeholders, providers, and staff.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a communications-related field of study or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- 3 years or equivalent experience in community outreach, communication, fundraising, advocacy, or related field (preferred).
- Understanding of basic accounting practices and/or grant writing (a plus).
