About the Role
Qualicare Homecare is seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our team as Personal Support Workers/Caregivers. This role involves providing 8-hour shifts for a bedridden client requiring Hoyer lift assistance. We are hiring for both a full-time position (4-5 days/week) and a part-time position (2-3 days/week).
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Reminders
- Using Hoyer lift to transfer client
- Providing companionship
- Following a care plan
- Documentation/Charting
Requirements
- Hoyer lift experience is mandatory
- Current CPR/First Aid training
- Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen, or willingness to obtain one
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Access to the internet/mobile phone
- Reliable and experienced
