About the Role

This position assists every aspect of the Santa Anna Label Group’s (SALG) A&R department, supporting both audio (music) and visual (photos and video assets) A&R. You will be involved in curating and exposing SALG’s vast catalog to existing and future fans.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with finance on all A&R invoices to get all vendors set up and paid quickly.
  • Work with the internal asset management system to manage audio and visual files for SALG staff.
  • Send and receive video files via AOMA, Ci, Promo Tool, and Aspera Faspex to A&R + internal team.
  • Liaise with artist teams for studio work, recording travel and other recording needs.
  • Handle all vendor set up and royalty and legal contacts related to these vendors.
  • Partner with producers, side artists, session players and their respective teams to clear records for SALG release.
  • Work with sample owners and sample clearing houses to clear records for SALG release.
  • Assist A&R team and A&R admin team with release scheduling and planning.

Requirements

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of prior experience, preferably in the general field of music.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint/Keynote, Photoshop & Outlook).
  • Intimate knowledge of all DSPs.
  • General knowledge of Google docs, Smartsheet and similar tools.
  • Broad understanding of the recording process, clearances, samples and their roles in creating a song.
  • Willing and able to learn a variety of proprietary Sony Music analytics tools, invoicing programs, etc.
  • Possess a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and stay organized in a fast-paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive, flexible, self-starter with strong problem-solving, social and interpersonal skills.
  • Use of discretion and maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are required.
