About the Role
As a key member of the Performance Management Finance team, this role will execute various reporting and analysis deliverables primarily related to income taxes and balance sheet analysis for the Capital Markets platform. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and establishing controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting, providing value-add analysis, developing analytical tools and insights, and preparing presentation materials for Capital Markets Finance Executives.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Capital Markets management reporting for tax and balance sheet analysis with month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles, delivering commentary and insights to senior management, functional partners, in addition to supporting external reporting disclosures
- Collaborate with global Financial and Product Control teams, Business Advisory groups, Tax Group, and RBC Financial & Regulatory Reporting to actively monitor and report on income tax impacts to financial results for Capital Markets
- Conduct comprehensive Balance Sheet analysis for senior management, delivering insightful and value-added commentary synthesized from inputs across functional partners
- Leverage AI to streamline existing workflows, with emphasis on process automation and enhanced reporting insights
- Support Senior Management on ad-hoc projects, embracing opportunities to develop new capabilities and deliver impact
Requirements
- Professional designation (CPA, CFA) or MBA
- Experience in an accounting/finance and reporting/analytics environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced user proficiency with computer applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint, spreadsheet/financial accounting skills, and any other related accounting software
- Strong investigative mindset and analytical skills
- Ability to build strong relationships across various stakeholders
- Exposure to Capital Markets products and businesses
- Knowledge and experience using analytical tools and managing large datasets
