About the Role

Hinge Health is seeking a Commercial Counsel to support its commercial, sales, and procurement teams. This role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, managing templates, and advising on healthcare regulatory matters. Responsibilities

  • Lead contract reviews and negotiations for commercial endeavors.
  • Serve as the main legal contact for the commercial team.
  • Identify potential issues in commercial contracts and propose creative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance initiatives.
  • Refine contract templates and workflows.
  • Support the development of the contract management system.
  • Provide training to business partners on contracting processes.
  • Advise internal clients on regulatory risks, healthcare and privacy regulations, and contract interpretation.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to, and in good standing with, at least one state bar.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong experience in the drafting and negotiation of healthcare and technology contracts.
  • Digital health experience.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for legal work.
  • Experience with TPA/payor contracts, healthcare contracts, referral/reseller contracts, SaaS service agreements.
  • Knowledge of insurance law, privacy law, ERISA and benefits law, and/or healthcare FWA laws.
  • Experience with a Contract Lifecycle Management System like Ironclad.
  • Law firm experience or experience in-house at a digital health company.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to balance legal risks with business strategy.
  • Ability to thrive independently and manage your own time and workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and shifting priorities with flexibility, patience, and humor.
