About the Role
As the Data Product Manager within the Transport Business Unit, you will own the vision, backlog, and execution for all data-centric products. Your mission is to transform raw transport business unit data into actionable insights, feeding the Arrive Group Data Lake, developing BI SaaS offerings for public transit authorities, and exploring AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic visions into a prioritized, actionable product backlog.
- Ensure the backlog is always 'Ready' for developers.
- Enforce the 70% Standard / 30% Specific ratio to prevent technical debt.
- Champion reusable, scalable features to stop the 'redo' cycle.
- Act as the pivot between Engineering, QA, UX/UI, and Business Analysts.
- Resolve conflicts and ensure the Squad reaches Sprint goals.
- Review client tenders with Business Analysts and Market PMs.
- Define how to configure existing standard tools to meet client needs without rewriting core code.
- Define clear 'Definition of Done' criteria.
- Validate that delivered software meets functional goals before handover.
- Define, design, and build intuitive data dashboards (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Create operational dashboards for internal monitoring and client-facing dashboards.
- Lead the integration of BU Transport's data streams into the Arrive Group Data Lake.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance (GDPR) for Data Lake integration.
- Design and manage standard Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting tools for city and transit operators.
- Monitor and evaluate practical AI use cases for future roadmap integration.
- Define data models and ensure APIs allow seamless, secure data sharing.
- Align the Data roadmap with the broader business model.
- Define the Functional Data Need ('What' and 'Why').
- Gather feedback on local market data requirements and abstract them into global, standard BI features.
- Package data releases and ensure Ops and Support teams are trained on new BI tools or AI features.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Product Management with a proven track record managing Data, BI, or Analytics products.
- Deep understanding of how to monetize data and transition legacy reporting into modern, scalable SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, Data Lakes, and APIs (REST/JSON).
- Hands-on experience building with BI tools.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data privacy regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS context) is a plus.
- Mastery of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proven ability to say 'No' to specific client requests to protect the standard product vision.
- Professional working proficiency in English (Level B1/B2).
