About the Role

The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager to market and manage MACNY’s recruitment platform, support HR tasks, and source candidates for internal and external roles. This role involves training members on the recruitment platform, building candidate pipelines, and supporting business development and talent development teams, including the Registered Apprenticeship Program. It also entails forming partnerships across New York State to align with business objectives and supporting HR and MACNY's business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to HR, supporting the department and management of the recruiting software platform.
  • Executes inbound and outbound strategic sourcing to meet member recruiting needs and deadlines.
  • Proactively sources candidates through direct-based processes to meet hiring needs and support profitability goals.
  • Utilizes strong communication skills in oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal interactions with members and candidates.
  • Supports understanding and alignment of MACNY’s background, culture, and values to foster membership.
  • Creates job descriptions ensuring compliance for internal and external positions.
  • Screens and presents candidates to match talent with open positions.
  • Maintains an extensive professional network and candidate database with positive working relationships.
  • Manages internal and external recruiting processes efficiently to meet company goals and align with business trends.
  • Collaborates with members and managers to identify future hiring needs.
  • Provides additional HR and business support for specific workflows and projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong people skills with an ability to increase business relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with positive energy.
  • Proficient with recruiting software systems, external recruiting sites, and running tracking reports.
  • Solid level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel as needed to attend work events and increase networking with members.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

  • USD $65,000.00/Yr. - USD $75,000.00/Yr.
