About the Role
In this position, you will be a central point of contact for all operational HR processes. Together with the HR team, you will ensure reliable personnel administration, be responsible for maintaining our employee data, and prepare all relevant information for monthly payroll. You will work closely with employees, managers, our external payroll office, and other internal and external contacts. You can expect a versatile HR role with a high degree of personal responsibility and broad insight into the operational HR processes of an international school. You will be part of an international working environment where different perspectives, cultures, and professional backgrounds naturally come together. You will have the opportunity not only to administer existing HR processes but also to further develop and digitize them together with us.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for preparatory payroll and salary accounting and ensure the complete and timely transmission of all payroll-relevant data to our external payroll office.
- You maintain and manage our master and transactional employee data in Personio and ensure high data quality.
- You create regular and ad-hoc HR reports and personnel analyses.
- You prepare necessary personnel notifications and personnel statistics for the responsible Berlin authorities or the Senate Administration.
- You create and administer employment contracts, contract amendments, certificates, and other personnel-relevant documents.
- You are responsible for operational absence and vacation management and ensure correct documentation in our HR systems.
- You manage onboarding, offboarding, and other administrative processes along the employee lifecycle.
- You are the point of contact for employees regarding administrative HR questions and support them, for example, with applications, certificates, and questions about vacation, absences, and payroll.
- You continuously work on optimizing and digitizing our HR processes and support the best possible use of Personio.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship, a degree with an HR focus, or a comparable qualification.
- Professional experience in HR Operations, personnel administration, and/or preparatory payroll accounting.
- Good knowledge of fundamental personnel administrative and payroll-relevant processes.
- Experience with the HR management system Personio is a prerequisite.
- Confident use of Excel or Google Sheets and enjoyment of working with personnel data and reports.
- A very careful, structured, and reliable way of working.
- A strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection when handling sensitive personnel data.
- A service-oriented approach and enjoyment of competently and solution-orientedly supporting employees.
- Very good German and English skills, as both languages are part of our daily work.
- Enjoyment of working in an international and diverse school environment.
