About the Role

This Associate Director role serves as a bridge between management and strategic leadership, shaping department-level strategy and building toward Director-level accountability. You will drive business growth by identifying, engaging, and closing high-value clients, and shape long-term revenue strategy by securing key partnerships, leading impactful deals, and uncovering new market opportunities. Your work will directly expand market presence, fuel company growth, and create lasting value for clients and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new clients to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
  • Develop and execute a long-term revenue strategy, identifying high-value sales opportunities and market expansion initiatives including key deals spanning CORSIA, Article 6, and emerging durable carbon removal technologies.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and close impactful deals that align with business objectives.
  • Build and manage key partnerships to strengthen market position and drive sustainable growth.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of at least one major, business-critical initiative that diversifies revenue.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales team members, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Influence department or cross-functional strategy, not just its execution, shaping priorities rather than only delivering against them.
  • Represent the function to senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Anticipate risk (delivery, commercial, compliance, reputational) at a broader scale and build mitigation into planning rather than reacting after the fact.
  • Actively prepare for strategic leadership: take on stretch assignments, deputise for your director where appropriate, and build your own external/industry profile.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in high-value sales, strategic negotiations, and market expansion.
  • Strong leadership, resilience, and the ability to build trust and drive long-term business growth.
  • Cross-functional leadership: builds alignment across teams, resolves issues constructively, influences stakeholders, and represents the function credibly at senior levels.
  • Communication & influence: delivers clear, executive-ready insights, recommendations and decisions that drive action.
  • Continuous improvement & adaptability: champions better ways of working, challenges the status quo, and adapts quickly to evolving business needs.
  • Delivery & accountability: consistently delivers outcomes against agreed targets, managing risks, priorities and dependencies.
  • Governance & operational excellence: establishes effective governance, KPIs and operating rhythms; introduces controls that reduce risk and inefficiency.
  • Strategic planning & direction-setting: sets clear goals, success metrics and delivery plans, balancing multiple initiatives and trade-offs.
  • Strategic execution & commercial acumen: leads high-impact initiatives with a strong commercial mindset, using data-driven decisions to maximize outcomes.
  • Coaching & people leadership (where applicable): delegates effectively, develops talent, raises performance standards, and builds high-performing teams.
